Hi All
My 90 is gone replaced with twin Suzuki,s. Went with the 60,s and am waiting for my buds to show for the first run. Will post what I know soon.

Still Crazy has two 50's. Smooth, quiet and powerful. Love them. Loaded it will plane at about 23 MPH. I don't do that often. I like the displacement mode best at about 8 MPH. Really good MPG with the Suzies as well.

I have no trouble going 27-28 mph with twin 45s. But, they are getting tired. The 60s look like a good choice. Heck, one honda 45 on my boat with a light load goes 14-16 mph if you give it long enough. I wonder if just one 60 would get it up to around 20. If so, I think I am sold as my hondas are getting up there in age and hours. If you don't mind me asking, what is a reasonable amount of $ for repower these days?

Sounds like that should be a screamer. I think you will like the twins, but I'm not that far from OK with my twin 40's. I could se 50's but I don't think I would do 60's. Interested to see how that feels. Keep us up dated.

Hi All
Did the test run yesterday ran the boat about 50 miles. Boat will do 18.5 mph into the wind at 4000rpm,s. props are 13.25/15 and it will turn 5800 rpm speed is 34mph. I did not leave it wide open long Suzuki wants a conservative break in. Cost for the swap is about 16000.00 or 8200 a side.

My wife would kill me.....So when my hondas die, I'm going to have to row I guess. I suspect you will get a tiny bit more out of them when they loosen up a bit more. Not too surprisingly, since rumor has it they did nothing to the 45s to make them 50s back in the day, your performance numbers are almost exactly the same as my twin 45s except your top speed is slightly higher as my boat will only go 29 or so all the way open at 6000 rpms. Not that it matters though; they spend most of their time between 4-5 thousand rpms - a place they seem to really like and are efficient.

Good luck with your new motors. If you would be so kind, let us know the mileage on the water when you get some hours on them.
