We have posted some photos of our repower project. So far we have had a new motor bracket built, ordered a new 225 Honda, the old motor has been removed and Les is waiting for the outside console which is being built by the factory to be delivered. (May have been by now). Les says it should be done sometime in April.

Don, Deb and Haileigh,
While I was at EQ today, I inspected your new repower project. It looks Fantastic!... :thup. I snapped a few pictures of it for you. They may be viewed in the Sea Shift album, until you transfer them over to your album.

Thanks Dave, you made Don's day. I don't know how to move pictures so I think we have to wait until Bill comes back to get them moved. When is the SSSS going to be ready to bring home? You've got to be getting excited. D, D & H

While I was up at EQ this morning visiting SSSS, I took 2 pictures of Haileigh's Comet newly installed 225 HP Honda. (Until Bill the computer guy gets a chance to move them to HC's album), they may be seen on the last page of the Sea Shift album.

Thanks again Dave for the pictures and thank you Bill for moving them into our album.

We are hoping to get to EQ this weekend to try out the motor if everything is ready by then.

I was hoping to be ready to bring the boat up to Lopez but Don, being a bit on the perfectionistic side, says we do not have the time to get it ready and then bring it home and get it cleaned up. We may just have to get a room (again). Time will tell.

:D We picked her up last Thursday and she is sitting happlily next to our house. We had a great sea trial with Les (though at times I wished we had brought our new friend Billy Schumacher along to drive.) I think it is safe to say we will be able to keep up with you now Brock! After being out of the water for over a year we need to paint the bottom and give her a good coat of wax. We are hoping to have her in her new slip in Edmonds in July. We are looking forward to cruising with you all again soon. Deb

Dave - I think the Miss Bardahl was doing about 10 miles an hour when Haileigh was in her.

Sooooo.....Inquiring minds want to know. What all did you have done besides that beautiful new Honda......dual helm??????

I have posted a few pictures of the work that we had done on the still land bound Haileigh's Comet.

Dave, we did put in a second steering station outside. Due to space problems we have to remove the steering wheel when not in use as it blocks the cabin door. That will not be a problem as we will only use it when the weather is nice and we can leave the cabin door open.

We also purchase a new trailer for future trips to Lake Powell ect.

Don is finishing the bottom painting, and we hope to get it waxed this week and into the water sometime in July.

We will not be at the Blakely cruise as young people think it is ok to get married in the summer, don't they realize that the summer is for boating??? We are hoping to make it to Sequim. We will be in the San Juans from August 29th - Sept 6th and would love to meet up with anyone else planning on being up there.

Lastly if this is too long and confusing for you Brock feel free to rewrite as needed. :wink

Your "upgrade" looks nice.

(On the positive side......when it is stormy out you can bring the steering wheel into the house, make motor sounds and pretend that you are out on the high seas :disgust)

Dave, Don got the problem worked out about the steering wheel so we can actually go in and out of the cabin and steer the boat. Don does have an extra steering wheel that he can play with when needed.

We finally got Haileigh's Comet in the water Wednesday and she is happy :D in her new slip in Edmonds. We will be taking her up to Hat Island for the weekend and really looking forward to it. Check out the picture in our album. Also Haileigh's Sockeye Salmon catch from last Saturday on Lake Washington. She pulled in everyone's fish. :thup
