Our local paper had a great political cartoon today quoting the late William F. Buckley Jr.: "I won't insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just said." Although I was never a great fan of the man-he had a list to starboard a little much for my tastes-he certainly could turn a phrase.

Ain't that the truth...listening to him was simply ear candy.

What he said and stood for, was certainly not universally agreed with. But how he said it...there's never been anyone better.
 
who the heck was he? betcha dogondory Dan could give him a run for his money!. :lol:
