Does anyone have any experience with the Garmin GPS Map 640? I have an older Lowrance that came with the boat that I want to keep as a backup hard mount gps. I like the internal antenna, pre-loaded coastal Bluechart G2 data, XM option with NEXRAD Wx. Seems like a reasonable compromise between the high $ units and other units that require expensive cards and unlock codes.
Remind me I said it someday, but I don't see radar, radar arch for our needs. I would like to keep the roof clean for dingy handling. Any thoughts on other gps units or roof top options appreciated.
