Hello All,
I am about to change my gear oil in a Honda BF90. I also would like to change the impeller later this winter. Does one have to drain the gear case oil before removing the lower leg housing to access the water pump housing? I am asking this as it would seem changing the gear case oil first would be like putting the cart before the horse. It seems logical that the water pump impeller and housing are sealed from the gear case oil, however, before jumping in, I wanted to ask others if they have had experience with this.
Thanks,
Grazer
