I just removed one of these

from our boat and don't need it for anything. Not sure if ours is the "lock model but it looks like that one. It come out of our 2005 25 cruiser. A friend already claimed the nearly new top gasket but everything else is there. Anyone want the whole thing or want any parts? It is located in the Gig Harbor area and can travel a bit. I can also ship parts around and cover that but if anyone wants the "big part", maybe they can cover shipping.

Send me a PM

We swapped it out with one of these:

It is simple, works well with our light testing so far, is bracketed down to the floor but released quickly, and is plumbed to the pumpout fitting but can be disconnected for a backup method of manual dumping. They don't have many pumpouts in BC and we dont like the overboard discharge option very much in protected waters. It also frees up space and saves weight in the stern with the removal of holding tank and macerator assembly.

Hi Greg,
Chris here from Comox. I am the owner of your old 25' that I bought from Neil Allen. I was looking through this thread and see that you did some modifications for the head. I wanted to ask you how the storage tank is emptied out. There is a hose hooked up but from your posting, the holding tank and macerator have been removed.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer on this...

Hi Chris. The hose runs from the porta-potty to the pumpout fitting at the rear corner of the boat. It was installed to allow normal marine vacuum pumpout of the potty without any need to physically pickup the potty and dump it. Worked really well for us.

The holding tank and pump were removed from the boat freeing up storage and eliminating one more pump that liked to rot.

Let me know if you have any other questions about the boat.

Greg
