Huskies, Seahawks, what the heck is going on up there in Seattle? It's been a long time since I've sat on the edge of my seat watching a Hawks game...wow

If the sea chickens win another game and some other team of future convicts, I forget which one, wins their games it will interfere with the boat show again. I hope they lose next week in a big way. I hate football. biggest waste of a Sunday afternoon every invented.

bummer, Having watched the growth and development of the kid over the years due to football and other organized sports it has given me an appreciation for the game. I would suggest that if you dislike football, don't watch it

If the memory serves me correctly, a long time ago ve saw a post where someone asked if those Seahawks were the ones Alaskans shot off the buoys?

Guess this fellow also does not follow the games.

Just goes to show you, even the "underdog" can win. My g-daughter (she's 4) does a fantastic impersination of Herm Edwards (former Jets coach); "You play, to win, the game!". That's why they play; ANY team can win and I love the fact that they made all the "experts" look like idiots. I'm more irritated w/ the "media". Still no respect as evidenced by the ESPN coverage last night after the game.

And Tom, I don't understand how an NFL game can "interfere with" the boat show. :? That was the last game @ Quest; they're on the road from now on. I'd hate to say this, but it's just a boat show; it happens every yr. Same time & same place on multiple days/nights. The game is ONE afternoon or evening. If anything, the show will be LESS crowded, which in my book is a positive; I hate crowds.

Personally, I hope they do what the Giants did a few yrs ago and run the table. THEN what will the East coast biased sports "media" say?

Ha ha - well the "East Coast" has a reason for their bias :) I don't have the stats but between the Colts, Steelers, and Pats there are an awful lot of Lomboardi trophies.

The Pats are in good shape but anything can happen as evidenced by the heartbreaking loss to the Giants a few years back. The records from that season will not soon be beat though. I watched the Seattle game after chipping away on the dinghy project - impressive! A scrappy team can be very dangerous in the playoffs.

Ha ha - well the "East Coast" has a reason for their bias...

It's like that in all the "media" why any different in sports?

The Pats are in good shape...

That's what happens when you do such things as; video tape other teams practices or lie to the league on injury reports...

...but anything can happen as evidenced by the heartbreaking loss to the Giants a few years back.

Like I said above: that Super Bowl I was totally "GO GIANTS!" :P :wink

The best scenario for me for the Superbowl in Dallas; Seahawks vs Pats. Final score; Seahawks 100 Pats 0!

We all can dream!

That touchdown run by Marshawn Lynch was one of the best in NFL history. You could almost hear him saying "getoffame!" as he rumbled down the field. Of course, it was on Saturday, not Sunday. Win or lose, I love the Seahawks.

Truth be told, I'm actually a Steelers fan & have been my entire life. But since they are the best team/franchise the NFL has EVER had, I don't mind spreading the wealth of trophies. Parity is a good thing. It gives teams/franchises like the Pats something to aim for. :P

And once the NFL is done, I'm back to free time. I dislike basketball, be it college or the W/NBA.

Today, I'm rooting for the Chiefs & the Packers. :thup

Football ------ >>>> It's a game, Get over it. High dollar sports figures for the most part are not real great community participants. Most don't live where they play. (Oh I know there are some that are great, but in general I'm saying.) But there is hugh financial consideration wrapped up in the "sports" system, and some of that money and fame could come to Seattle if the pins fall right.

BUT, Seattle needs some thing to go after, and even though I am not a foot ball fan, I think it would be VERY COOL for the Seattle Foot ball team (Whatever you want to call them), to bring the Super Bowl trophy to the upper left coast.

(BTW) Anybody ever heard of the Seattle Storm? National Champs in another arena :thup :thup

Hey Tom, next football game, call me and we'll talk C-dory and time shares. It'll be OK

Yes, Harvey it is just a game/sport. However, in the world of "Celebrity Housewives", "Jersey Shore", "Teenage Mothers", "The Bachelor" and every other crappy, lousy, braindead "reality show"...sports is the only ultimate and true reality show. Plus as you noted, there is an entire sub-economy supported by sports.

The boat show is something I look forward to every year. I am also a rabid Seahawks fan. You get 10 plus days of the boat show every year, not so for home playoff games.
The way I look at it the boat show interferes with home playoff football not the other way around.
As Centerisland said Quest Field was not built for the boat show it was built for the Seahawks. The boat show just fills some of the time before another football game.
