Engine Replacement

Good Morning to fellow C-Dory folks.

I have cabin cruiser 22 with single Honda BF90 which needs to be replaced.

Aim to replace with a single new unit. Looking for advise and experiences on different makes and models and HP.

We replaced our 2005 115yamaha (1100hours)with a 2016 new115 mercury CT The reason was we were hearing that new outboards would have to have catalytic converters which never materialized .
Yamaha 1.7 L. 115hp. 13 7/8 by 15 p

Mercury 2.1L. 115 hp. 14 7/8. By17p

The merc handles so much better going over big waves and just maneuvering around the marina with the bigger gear case and prop. BTW the mercury CT was at last $1000. Less then Yamaha .
