Cruising the Chesapeake

We trailered our 26' Venture from the Florida Keys to Charleston and cruised from Charleston to Hatteras. We trailered from Hatteras to Pasadena, MD where we are docked at Maryland Yacht Club for two weeks. Are there any C-Dorys in the Chesapeake right now? We would love to connect with you.

Depending on the weather I will be coming up the bay in late June to Tangier Island. I would expect to arrive Friday afternoon 6/27 and then head to Norfolk late morning on 6/28.

Would be great to catch up with you there. Regardless of your timing, I can't imagine being in the bay for two weeks and not go to Tangier island.

I anticipate delivery of our CD 26 Venture in a couple weeks.
First, a shake down in northern Lk Michigan, and surrounds, then the
Chesapeake for about 3 weeks.
Starting out in Deale, MD mid-September with itinerary TBD by weather.
I'll post before departure.

Aye.

We currently have our cd-25 on the Middle River at Cutter Marine...probably 15 minutes from you by water, if not mistaken. Cutter marine was at one time the largest East Coast C-Dory dealer (so I have been told), but Ironically, we are the only C-Dory now there. We also so the Dragonfly last weekend, they are based down by the Patapsco if not mistaken. We may be on the water this weekend but that is not yet certain.
Thanks

We did a week long trip on the northern part of the Chesapeake that included Oxford and the Tred Avon River which is beautiful and has many anchorage possibilities. We stayed at the Boatyard Marina and Yacht service a Hinckley's boat yard marina in downtown Oxford. Close to town free bikes, pool etc. Then we wondered back out into the back side of St. Michaels by way of Broad creek and anchored in the San Domingo creek with in an easy dinghy ride to a dinghy dock which is a short walk to town avoided the long ride around to the Miles River side. Then over to Annapolis and the Severn River going through Knapp's Narrows to get there. The Severn river is not to be missed and is just above Annapolis is also beautiful. We got a side tie right on EGO Alley in Annapolis plenty to see there. Then up to Baltimore we stayed at Henderson's Wharf Marina in Fells Point an easy walk to Little Italy great Italian food if you are so inclined. Walking through Fells Point area which is in it self pretty interesting. From Baltimore across the bay to Rock Hall. We stayed at a marina right next to Waterman's crab house. Cute town. Then up to the Sassafras river and we stayed at Duffy's Marina in Georgetown where we launched from and stored our vehicles. Pic's in our photo album. Great cruising area with lots to see. If you like eating crabs your in a good spot.
