Clam Digging

Been a while since we've been clam digging. Nice low tide this morning at Birch Bay. Picked up the DAYDREAM crew around 9am. In less than an hour we had enough clams for a tasty lunch (Pat's a very good cook!), plus some clams left over for tomorrow's lunch as well. What fun! Thanks Pat & Patty for sharing your Sunday with us.

Just a GREAT day (actually a great weekend)! Yesterday, a nice day on the water in Crabby Lou. Today, coffee and conversation with Ruth and Joe, clam digging at Birch Bay State Park, fried clam lunch, the Seahawks won, and it was just an awesome sunny afternoon on the deck at Birch Bay! Patty is the great cook, I just have a few things I do. The fried clams are REAL complicated! Cut butter clams in half, dredge in Bisquick, fry in half an inch of oil in cask iron skillet until golden brown! We gave it up hard after supper - just plain did not want to come back to the "real world"!
