Center console C-Dory photos

Since I am not smart enough to figure out how to insert a pic here on this thread  , I have placed 2 pics on page 4 of our album. They are from a cool little paperback book titled "Saltwater Salmon Angling - Washington, Oregon, California" by Bob Mottram c1989. Great book about all the various ports that folks fish out of along said areas. Talks about bar conditions, launch areas, tackle, etc. Anyway, since I've never seen a CD with a center console, I thought I'd share the pics. When did they stop making them, anyone know?

Looks like that one has the single-engine transom I prefer :thup (pre-87's) Classic Hull. It had to pre-87...? me thinks :)

I was down in Juneau a couple of weeks ago and saw an older 16 with a bolted on cabin. (Didn't have the camera though...) I'd guess that if the top was simply unbolted and lifted off it would look pretty similar to that center console unit. Though I don't thing anybody would want to "open up" such a craft.

I want one!

It's easy :

Step 1: By 1 std. 22 ft cruiser or angler
Step 2: Remove the bow rail
Step 3: Find a low bridge with navigable water below. Bridges about 32" above the water work best.
Step 4: Approach the bridge at rapid speed.
Step 5: Duck! If the bridge is just the right the cabin should be sheared off just above the helm.

Congratulations you now have an off center C-dory console! I'm sure Red Fox or one of the other Alaskans could accomplish the same thing with a chain saw for a minor fee... :wink

Hey, thanks for posting my pics...like I said, I'm not smart enough to do it. I'll bite...how the heck DO you post pics within a thread?
