Cabin door lock issue?

I am having a problem with my lock on the cabin door.
For a while I would have to slam the door to get it to latch then the lock would engage just fine. I am able to get the door to close alright but I can't get it to lock.
It locks fine from inside but it won't with the key?

Has anyone else faced this? Any ideas for the fix?

I checked the alignment and things look o.k. for government work....

Ray - Your lock should be a PERKO. Disassemble it & see what's broken. I sent them a photo showing the broken part & they sent a replacement.
 
Hi Folks,
I had the same problem with my door not opening. I tightened the screws that attach the cabin back to the hull. Door now fitted fine. Boat is a 22' 83 Angler.

Door Lock Problem,

Check the screws that hold the cabin to the hull on the bottom. Mine come loose, door comes stuck. I tighten them out, door fits.

Might be your door isn't fully latching. I find I need to shut mine, then nudge it a bit to get that final click, and then it locks fine with the key.
