C-Dory Owner Albums moved

As has been evident in the comments to date, you folks really, really want at the photo albums... :lol:

As of late last night (yawn) all of the pics in the owner albums have been moved. This morning, I changed the permissions on the albums so that they are "owned" by those who's pictures they contain, where I know who the owner is. Since not everyone's ID matches their photo album name, and not everyone has signed up here yet, there are many albums that still have no owner.

If you see your album, but can't make changes to it per the info below, reply to this thread and one of us will get on it. If you want a photo album, and don't have one, reply to this thread with your vessel name and we'll set one up for you.

If your album has been assigned back to you, it will be obvious; when you visit it, you will have a series of options across the top of the screen for things like adding new photos, and each existing photo will have a drop-down box that allows you to make modifications - edit the text, change the order things are displayed, etc. It seems fairly intuitive to me, but then again I'm a nerd. If you encounter problems just holler.

One caveat - sorry, I just don't have the time to cut and paste all the titles and descriptions over. I realize what a drag this is - many of you have spent considerable amounts of time doing this for your photos. But if everybody tackles their own photo albums in this regard, it could happen in short order. The easiest/quickest way I've found to do this - open two browsers, one pointed at your MSN photo album, the other at your photo album here, and work between them using the Windows Alt+Tab keyboard shortcut.

A whole bunch more of the owner albums have been set up with the appropriate permissions.

If your album still does not allow you to add or edit, just post us a note here with your album name and we will get right after it.

Reminder: If you want a photo album named for your C-Dory, just give us the boat name, and we'll set one up for you.

Could you set up a photo album for me? I think the C-Salt album is probably "owned" by Dusty as I can't mess with it. That's ok, he probably wants to be able to post to it. I just need one I can access; you never know what might show up!!
 
Done, Les - not sure how you wanted it titled, so I just used your name. If you want it changed, let me know.

Also, I gave you permissions to the C-Salt album (Dusty still has permissions as well.)

Your albums (Bess C, Helen O) are set as owned by you. They oughta work for you just fine.

It's still not working. It looks the same as other individual albums. I have no buttons to edit or post pictures.

Try looking through the bottom part of your glasses!

I don't know what to tell you. I just changed the owner of your album to Generic (he's our test member), logged on as Generic, and all the buttons were there on your album. Now I changed the owner back to you. There should be a bunch of blue words in the upper right corner when you open your album. I guess that's what you would call buttons.

It looks like you need professional help. Da Nerd will be around soon.
 
I still have no blue words. :cry (sniff, sniff) At the upper right I have blue links to slideshow, c-brat albums and Our C-dory albums. :angel

Larry, I have a theory - I've seen some problems with the photo album when apostrophe's are present. For example, if you use one in a description, the photo album displays it with a backslash in front of it. Up until now, it's just been a cosmetic bug, so I've ignored it.

I'm wondering if there is a problem with the photo gallery permissions and your user ID - it also has an apostrophe in it. If you want to test this theory, reply here with what you want your user ID changed to (perhaps just "Helen O" ?), and I'll do so. Having me change your user ID (instead of you deleting it, and signing up again) preserves all your settings.

OK Larry, you're now just "Helen O", and I updated your album permissions - not sure if you need to logout/login again or not, but give it another go.
