Dear Pat & Patty on DAY"wegotaWallasandacamperbackandawarmfuzzydogandwecruiseallyearlongtheweatherbedamned"DREAM:

I was doing a little housekeeping around here, and I noticed there is only one cruise left scheduled (you're planning/hoping to go, of course, even though you ain't on the list). While the Snohomish Delta Day Cruise sounds very exciting, it looks kinda lonely there on the Upcoming Events list.

I was hoping that you might be inclined to nail your near-future cruise plans to the calendar so we can liven the boards up a little. The next thing I know about for sure is the SBSCBGT, but surely you have some plans/hopes for December. It's a little early (but not a whole bunch too early) to start the June Sturgeon Fest chatter. So what you got cooked up next??

Good question - December last year was a dandy little day cruise, from Lake Washington (some left Coulon Park down south, some left Magnuson Park a bit further north), through the Montlake Cut, across Lake Union, and out the ship canal up to the locks, where we turned around and went to Fisherman's Terminal in Ballard for lunch. Something similar would work for me, only this time through the locks and out to Elliott Bay Marina for lunch a Maggie Bluffs - eh what?

Sandy and I are planning to spend a couple months (or so...) wandering around the Canadian Canals (Trent-Severn, Rideau) during the summer of 2005. I'm reading and researching the areas now, so would certainly welcome any recommendations C-Brats might have.

We have no particular agenda, but plan to allot enough time to just mosey around for a while and enjoy what sounds like a very nice area.

Casey -

So, you're gonna go do it again, huh? I just talked with Bill, and he is going to put your Alaska adventure into PDF format and post it on here in the Documents section. Finally! I figured since I said I would get 'er done for you, we might as well do it before the next story is written.

So, everyone - watch for the Naknek Chronicles coming up soon!
