August 2014 trip to Princes Louisa and Desolation Sound

I'll be leaving Seattle around August 2nd for three weeks up north ending with the CBGT in Victoria on the weekend of the 22nd-24th. The plan is to work my way up from Seattle through the San Juans and Gulf Islands and meet up with Dorothy and Bill on Blue Skies in Nanaimo. We are then looking at heading to Princess Louisa and Desolation Sound for a week+ before heading down to Victoria. Stacy will be flying in to meet us somewhere along the way depending on when she can negotiate some vacation.

If anyone is interested in joining in for all or part of the trip you are most welcome to come along. The schedule is a little fluid at the moment but if you are interested let me know and we can work out how to meet.

Pretty sure we will be joining you for at least the first part of your cruise. Patty and I both have our (gulp) 50 year high school reunions (how did THAT happen?) in the second half of August, but we are good for at least some of the first part!

When do Dorothy and Bill arrive? As you remember, we all had a great time with them at Butchart Gardens, would like to hook up with them again!

Hi Guys,

Nomad will be circumnavigating Cortez Island in late August. With 3 or 4 overnight stops, including Von Donop Inlet. Finishing up in Squirell Cove for the Labour Day long weekend. Perhaps our paths may cross?

Sounds great. I really enjoyed Von Donop Inlet last year and hope to stop again this year if possible. Lets keep in touch and hopefully work out a meet this year It would be great to see you guys. :D

Two Bears will be launching in Bellingham Aug 8 but we only have two weeks. Anybody going to be running around the islands about that time?

Unfortunately we will not be able to make the Victoria Gathering. We have commitments at home on the Sunday and would not be able to make it home in time.

Let us know your approximate schedule and whether you will be coming through Pender Harbour. We may be going to Desolation around the 16th but have a little flexibility.

It would be great to connect with the group.

Hi Jan/Stacy & Bill/Dorothy,

Doesn't look good to hook up. We are meeting up with "Anytime Baby" and "C-Fury" this weekend for the Comox celebrations. After the Victoria gathering, we are driving home by car, then heading off to Desolation by boat for the last week of Aug. You guys will be to far south by then. Have a great time guys.

We are in the Copelands. Just west of Lund. Maybe Grace Harbour tomorrow. We'll keep a look out for any c brats about. We'll be in the Cortes/ Quadra area till about Aug 23. Happy cruising all. George and Carolyn
 
Even better would be if a Salmon jumped in Jamie's Smoker! Just talking about his fabulous smoked Salmon today as we worked in the garden, land locked! :( Stop at Homfrey Channel Lodge as you transit through. Nice folks and lots to do. Safe travels to all. :hug :hug2
