Admiral's Seat

Not wanting to go to the effort of making a sliding mate's seat, I came up with an easy modification that works well for us. Raise the rear passenger seat about 4 inches with a simple box frame vertical extension - 4 boards plus four hinges in the inside corners (for easy disassembly or use angle brackets) and 3 smaller boards attached to inside of the boards and extending down to keep the box from sliding around. Then all you have left to do is paint with high quality enamel, add male snaps to the screws in the window frame above the male snaps already there (I averaged the distance between these sets of screws to get the actual extension height) for the seatback cushion, and plop the cushion in place and snap the cushion in the higher snaps. You can still sit at the table (unless you're an Olympic weight lifter with thunder thighs) or drop the table and stretch out the legs and enjoy the ride and the view; that extra four inches gives a great forward view. Plus you now have more storage space except when you need the space as a bed (unless it's for a four foot tall child).

C-Green - you should get yourself a photo album and post some pictures of your boat and mods. Many of us would be interested in viewing.
