A BIG THANK YOU FROM THE RANGER OWNER

Bill and Mike,

This means a lot I know to those of us who are migrating from C-Dory boats to Ranger Tugs. I am confident that there will be a good presence of Rangers at the C-Brat events.

Will there be a "C-Ranger for sale" section? I'm gettin 'da feva'. I told Dotty that we need a second boat for when LIZZIE is in the shop. So far she's not buying it.

Charlie... your idea :idea of our friend to go ahead and buy the Ranger and then tell his wife :amgry has merit. But... there is a down side to that plan  . The following questions have to be addressed prior to him taking that bold and courageous step :wink .
1. Can he out run his wife as he will be selecting the time and place to spring the CR news on her?
2. Preferably the chosen time and place will have been previously cleared of all firearms, sharp objects such as knives, scissors, glass bottles, and writing utensils :disgust ?
3. Arrangements will have been made to to secure alternate sleeping quarters for the wife's estimated 6 week "cool down" period :crook ?
3. Depending on the severity of the wife's reaction to the news... do you have a good divorce attorney in the wings just in case :( ?

That's pretty much it. Godspeed :thup my friend and good luck! :cocktail

IMHO:

Yoda a/k/a Da Nag/Tyboo were spot on incorporaing "the Tugs" into the membership. To my way of thinking, not including the "Tugs" would be
like disowning a child - it was CD folks who gave birth to the tug.

I'll probably never own a Tug since it won't fit into my slip. That said, I really enjoy the photos and photos of the mods.

Question(s): Is there a difference between spot on and Byrdman's target on? Is it a Massachusetts/Alabama north/south thing? Now that BM has moved north a little, will he have to change? Is it akin to us westerners saying damn straight?

However you say it, thanks for saying it. The choice isn't an easy one, because we have had to disappoint other brand owners in the past (and more than just one brand, so cut me some slack here). We have something pretty special in this little Pub and despite the laid back management style and purposeful lack of rules it does take some effort to keep it from becoming like so many other forums on the internet (or internets if you're from Texas). But in the end it comes down to the people who are here, and we took a vote and decided that we could trust the CR folks because if it doesn't work out we can always outrun them on cruises.

I sure hope they keep the C in the name.

Yup, the correct terminolgy is "spot on". I have it on good authority when the Pilgrims stepped "on the rock" in 1620 they coined the term.
One of these years I'll get myself out to the SBS and teach y'all to say cah and wintah.

I am very glad that you all have decided to include the C-Ranger as part of this forum. Initially when I was in the market for a new boat, I was interested in the C-Dory, especially with the great praises that I've seen. I started reading all of the posts on this site, and then went to finally look at one over at EQ. But as I was pulling up, I saw the lil' ole C-Ranger Tug. I mulled it over but, and went back and forth from the Ranger to the Dory then back and forth over several weeks. The thing is when I looked at the Ranger it always put a smile on my face, and that smile factor rates pretty high with me. If I need to get my kidneys pounded I can always hop on my brothers Bayliner  (Not to say that the C-Dory makes you feel like you went a round with Ali, as I've never done a sea-trial on one, or a round with Ali for that matter). Hopefully with the new category of "All C-Rangers all the time" we will be able to build more camaraderie and share passion for our boats.

We might have to have a forum that transcends both C-Dory and C-Ranger for owners in waiting. I have been possessed with boating every since taking the plunge. It is messing with my work, sleep and marriage.

I have a new found appreciation for what Pat and Patty as well as others went through when you upgraded to your 25s. It is a good thing the weather has been so rotten or I might have to do residential treatment for my addiction. Hopefully I will make until May with out patient therapy.

I know Mac has the shakes real bad too.
