Original owner selling this beautifully maintained, garage stored, 6’ 6” high top cruiser with only 213 hours. This boat is flawless and appears to have no wear. It belonged to my parents, but after my dad passed several months ago my mom made the difficult decision to sell so someone else can experience joy from ownership of this vessel.
My mom’s C-Dory story in her own words:
“My late husband and I were out in our open boat on a beautiful fall day when we happened upon a 22-foot C Dory that was tied up at a dock. There was no one around so we looked that boat over REALLY well. My husband had been studying C Dories for some time but he hadn’t had a chance to see one up close and personal. We both liked what we saw. Within a few months we were the proud owners of our own 22-foot Cruiser, Just Ducky.
You never saw anyone have as much fun at the boat show that next February as we did! We didn’t even try to put ourselves on a boat show budget that year. My husband had had time to research the type of accessories he wanted and he was like a kid in a candy store.
We had not cruised in a number of years and it was wonderful going back to places that we hadn’t been to for a long time. We went back to the San Juan and Gulf Islands—Desolation Sound, Refuge Cove, Frances Bay, Squirrel Cove, etc. We loved going back to places we had been when our children were young and watching new generations of wildlife.
One of the best things about owning a C Dory is the other C Dory owners that you meet. You always have an instant connection. They love their boats just as much as you love yours and are happy to exchange stories about that but also information about places to anchor, weather conditions, good places to fish, and many other things of interest.
I will miss Just Ducky but my health issues don’t really allow me to handle her by myself. I know that her next owner will get as much enjoyment out of her as my husband and I did.”
