I am selling my 1993 17' angler. I had occasion to talk with the factory about this hull, it was sold as a bare hull to a dealer in Coos Bay, OR, they must have installed the console. I added a box to the top of the console to shield electronics.
It was fit with a 60 h.p. Mercury, in 2009 I replaced that with a 2008 Honda. sold in a closeout sale, and advertised as the last of the carbureted Honda engines. That engine was installed, and run for a short time as part of the process of setting it up. It has been run on the trailer a couple of times since then, but has not been used, because circumstances prohibited that. I would think it has less than a couple of hours of run time.
I will fish this year, and bought a bigger boat, and want to sell this boat. I would say the hull is sound, there are dings in the gel coat but no damage of substance. The console had a bunch of holes on the side where the Mercury Control was mounted, obviously an attempt to find an angle at which to mount it that best dealt with control cables. I bought a new control, and filled the holes, but there is more work to do on the console, then it needs paint.
Call if you have questions (541) 592-3157-- I will e-mail pictures to you.
