16' Angler Pricing guide

I have been looking at some 16' Anglers for a while and can't seem to get a fix on a fair pricing guide. NADA has boats listed but they are so under priced it is ridiculous. I realize that the price is subject to availability and what ever the traffic will bear, but somewhere there has got to be some sort of guidelines. I have seen early 90's boats go for anywhere from $3K to $14K. Does anyone have a rule of thumb as it were? Thanks for any insight...

If you scroll down to the area here on the site where boats are listed for sale, you will find a section called something like "Marketplace Reference." These are past boat ads for real boats here (vs. NADA). Granted, you cannot tell exactly what a boat sold for, but it's fairly easy to get an idea (averages, how fast or slow something sold, etc.). It is a good reference.

Glad you found it useful. You're in the heart of C-Dory country (both the boats and the Brats). Here's to a "check out my new boat!" post from you in the future :thup

It does seem like the prices on the 16s vary a lot more than the 22s and larger though. Maybe its because the massive spread of options you see, from a very bare basics to a well built and outfitted fishing machine. Canvas and trailer upgrades, etc can all play a role. Good luck in your hunt, don't give up, it took us about 7+ months to find "our" 22 once we decided that's what we wanted. :beer

Oh and NADA/Banks/etc are completely off their rocker when it comes to pricing 80s and 90s C-Dorys. If I could find C-Dorys for the prices the banks think they are worth I'd have three boats in my driveway.

Hello
I purchased a restored 16ft angler last year I believe its a 1986 with all new hardware, windows resealed trim wood varnished etc. It has a one year new honda 50 four stroke, I just purchased a 16/18ft completely rebuilt trailer and added an 8hp four stroke kicker that works great. I also added another new fuel tank and had them plumed into a water separator and tank switch. This boat is turn key and looks great. Unfortunately where i fish in willapa bay out towards the ocean I found it too small and am buying a larger boat. I have over 10k into it and will sell it for that. not advertised yet.
