I got a nice email from Tracy of Dragonfly fame asking me to set up an event signup to get this cruise discussion kicked off. So I did.

I am sure they will be on here soon with some more particulars. It looks like it will be Sept 24,25,26th starting at Whittaker's Pointe Marina, Oriental, NC.

Thanks Bob & Paula :D I thought we could get things going to see how many and who all wants to come to the NC Gathering this year. Hopefully the weather will be a wee bit better this year. I do have to say that I got to chat with more people up in the rocking chairs that we usally do. LOL Take care all, Tracy
 
Last year Rosemary was investigating buying a C-Dory when we attended portions of the 2009 NC C-Dory gathering. "Impressed" is the first word that comes to mind and Rosemary bought "Sea Baby" shortly afterwards.

Count on "Sea Baby" being there. Afterall Whittaker Point is just down The Neuse from the slip.

Tracy, have already told Carrie to holler if she needs help. The same goes for you too!

Hello Everyone, So far our plans our looking like Friday will be the usual Pot Luck Dinner. Saturday we are leaning towards Grilling either Burgers & Hot dogs or Steak and Chicken. Either way it will be be easier to plan the food for Saturday. Plus we will ask each boat to bring a side dish for Saturday as well as Friday. Sunday looks like our friends Bob & Paula will be feeding us all Sunday Breakfast. If we have enough interest we will have tee shirts again this year. Bob is planning on handling that for now. Just wanted to give you all a general idea of what we are planning. Thanks to Bob & Paula and Cal the first mate from Sea Baby for all his ideas and help ! Talk with you all soon..Tracy :D
 
Hanging out at the Oriental boat show.. I have spotted some of the "usual brats" out and about ! :P So far I see the Sara Lynn, Sea Wolf 2 and a Ranger Tug with no name that I can see. Seems like it won't be long before many more of the Brats will be roaming the river.. Have a great weekend all ! Tracy
 
Hi everyone just wondering what is weather like in sept ? We might be able to make it We just bought a new to us tow vehicle so I'm trying to talk the Admiral into coming we will be in Tenn on Lake Tellico until the middle of Aug I might keep the boat up there and trailer from there to N/C gathering . Will some of you get there early and stay later Is the gathering on Albermile sound ? I would like to stay for a least a week
 
Hi, I won't lie to you sometimes the weather at Oriental is lovely, One year it was hot and a few rain showers, then last year we had a nor'easter blow in and the water was really choppy but a few of us did go out and play in the waves. LOL It was a good time to go learn what NOT to do . LOL Oriental is on the Neuse river and Pamlico Sound. We would love to have you come hangout with us !

If you are in Tenn. you could could come by where we live and spend the night and we would go on to the Cruise together,
We live about 3 hrs. from where you will be in Tenn. I don't think it would be out of the way any. We are about 5 Hrs from the Cruise In.

we will be in Lake Tellico from July 15-Aug15then probably go home to Naples and leave boat and trailer up in tenn then go up to tenn middle of sept and then go to gathering that might work out going to your place we still are up in the air about this but tryiing to make plans hope all is well I just signed up for woodards directory for RV's so we can boaterhome up to tenn we willleave naples by July 12th arrive in tenn the 15th
 
Linda and I are reserving this weekend so we will be able to attend this year. we were out of state last year and missed the annual gathering. so we are really wanting to get back in touch with everyone. save us a spot and let us know what we can bring. TD

Hello everyone.. We will begin taking Tee Shirt orders . I will NOT be getting extra shirts. SO if you want a tee shirt please order one. They will be white with Carolina Blue ink.
