We're right on your heels Pat. :D

Jan and I met last night and decided on a date. The date for the Poulsbo CBGT is the 3rd weekend in June:

JUNE 19 - 21, 2015

There will be another yacht club who had previously made reservations for that weekend but we will have plenty of room as we will have access to the whole F dock, which has 32 30’ slips. The drawback for having the gathering that weekend with another yacht club booked is that we won’t have access to the multi-purpose room or activity barge. However, Jan did some fast thinking and remembered that there is a park right outside the marina and he’s made arrangements to have the Saturday potluck at the gazebo in the park. So problem solved. And of course, the charming little town of Poulsbo is right at our footsteps. We're really looking forward to this gathering and hope many of you can join us.

We will be posting more details but for right now, the first order of business is to get a list of boats who plan on attending. There will be a small $5 deposit per boat due a few weeks in advance but we will organize how we want to handle that later. First things first is signing up.

Mike or Bill, can you please set-up a sign up sheet for this event.

We would love to attend this get together as we live in Kingston Wa. This would be our first time getting together with fellow C- Dory owners. Our Dory's name is "Dream Boat Annie". It use to be the "Mar-T". How do we sign up? thanks, Mike & Deb Sloan

Mike and Deb. We would love to have you join us. To sign up just click on "Event Signups" on the upper menu bar just under the C-Brats logo. Then choose the Poulsbo Gathering from the drop down menu. Click "View Information" then finally subscribe to the group and you are signed up.

Best,

Jan & Stacy

I will have to miss this one due to a prior family commitment, however, there is a chance I might get to drop in for a bit on my way through on Friday, maybe.

We are new owners of a c-dory 22 cruiser new in 2014. We have not been boating in this area. We took our boat to Bandon oregon and fished on and off for 2 months. This will be the first time in the planned area and the first time to sleep in it. Any words of wisdom? Kathi and larry Merritt glide oregon 541-671-1183 kathicrs@yahoo.com

Welcome to the group! If you haven't yet slept in the boat, you might want to try that out in the driveway just to see if you can tolerate the mattress cushions etc. Many have added a 1-2" memory foam topper to make sleeping more comfy.

I don't know if you have shore power on your boat, but if you do, probably the single best thing to make sleeping more comfy is the addition of a small space heater. Boat's can be chilly, moist places and you'd be surprised how much condensation can result from human breath - especially in boat that is sealed with people sleeping in it. A space heater will not only help reduce condensation but will make it possible to leave a window cracked even when it's chilly outside.

Poulsbo Update

Hi Folks - The Poulsbo CBGT is right on the heals of the Friday Harbor gathering and we need to start organizing a bit to get the Port all the info they need to get our slips ready. So.... We are looking for a little info from each boat planning on attending. If you are planning on attending please send me the following in a PM:

Boat owner, boat name, boat size (i.e 16, 19, 22, 25, etc) and your planned arrival date (i.e. Friday, or Saturday). Peter, Caryn, Stacy and I are looking forward to seeing everyone and having a great gathering. if you have any questions or need more info please send Peter or I a PM and we will do our best to provide answers.

More info to follow on Friday dinner plans and other activities.

Jan
C-Change.

Just to piggy back on Jan's post, please be sure to send in the boat information at your earliest convenience as we're required to assign the slips in advance.

Thanks. I'm really looking forward to this gathering!

Peter

Sure sorry I am going to have to miss this one. Might get a chance to swing by for a few moments, but that is a big maybe.

Thanks for signing up. You can. PM me or Jan with your boat info, boat name, LOA, owner name. We will assign the slips. No need to call marina.

I took a side trip with sister to Poulsbo from Bremerton last week, a really nice harbor. If we aren't stuck in the minutia of getting our house sold we plan to attend.

We've had an unforseen change of plans and now might be able to attend this gathering. We aren't sure yet but maybe. I was looking for a good launch ramp in Active Captain and didn't find one in the Poulsbo vicinity. What ramp(s) do you recommend for this gathering? I am hoping to find one where we can safely leave the SUV and trailer for many days so we can explore a bit in addition to attending the gathering. Thanks for any suggestions you might have....
