Does that make Twin B the official Pez Dispenser?

What time are you folks pulling out? perhaps we could meet up at the launch and have an official SW WA contigent cruise to Pez . It's looking like we'll have some nice weather, should be a helluva fine weekend.

Sea Shift Dave, thanks for the info on Cap Sante. Sure you won't reconsider, clear your plate and join us this weekend? Really, I think it's the least you could do. Remember, you've created a fairly rabid fan base that expects routine appearances.

Anyone heard what the wind might do for the next few days?

By the way, Kathy Lopez said to an anxious Cat, "we'll fit you all in somehow."

To all our C-Brat Family!!
We wish that you all have the traditional great C-Brat time at Lopez this weekend! We have torn feelings about not making it there to be with you all.
We will have you all in our thoughts and will hoist a brew, spirit, soda, latte, and all other appropriate beverages and toast you as we begin our Alaska Fly/Cruise.
We will miss seeing the new Anna Leigh and Laurna Jo, and Anita Marie sharing dock space for the first time. :(
Heck for that matter we will miss you all. :hug :hug2 :hug :hug2
Jim & Laurie

Jim & Laurie - pooo, won't be as fun with yous...and that goes for you also Dave....I think Dave just plans on attending only the functions we don't make :)

Brock- your post on Cap Sante slip by me, I've never tried that place out, we've always done the budget park thing.

Somebody mentioned "hot tub" is there a hot tub for us dockside Brats to use or is it just for payin folk with rooms?

I'm fixing to give the boat a good washing and see if the Peds will fit in the back......hooooRahhh, gonna have a good time

Jeff and I have used Cap Sante the four times that we have taken Immacu-Nada over to the islands. We have been treated very well and have not had a problem with our truck and the parking. We have used the lot that you pay for, but if I recall it was a total of $9.00 for the three day tour! We are leaving from there again tomarrow. It takes away the stress that we observed at Twin Bridges on opening day of crabbing, boats cutting in and out and dealing with the tide. We decided the couple extra bucks was worth our sanity!

See you all tomarrow :!: :D :hot

By the way, it is not only Cinco De Mayo, but it is also Jeff's birthday today :!: :cake :gift Got him a new tackle box :wink

Hurray!

It's been touch and go, but it now appears Two Lucky Fish will be able to go!

I've just completed (and passed) the exams for my Masters (Capt'ns) license, so I'm gonna get to practice a little. I plan to cruise up from South Whidbey on Friday, then run over to Skyline Saturday afternoon to pick up Linda. We've also booked a sort of celebratory dinner at the Bay Cafe (Lopez Village) for Saturday night - a combination graduation/retirement/55th birthday.

Mac & Linda

Congratulations on your graduation/retirement/55th birthday :cake We were hoping that you'd be able to make it to Lopez. Joe & I just retired April 23rd. Sold the equipment and then the building. All within 30 days. Still in shock over the whole thing. Hoping now to spend some more time with the R-Matey. We're even thinking about leaving for Lopez tomorrow (instead of our usual Saturday arrival at these C-Brat events).

Looking forward to seeing everyone we do know and meeting the new folks, too. Will miss Rev. Dave, Jim, Laurie & Patty and the others that won't be attending.

Until then.....

Shelley and I haven't sold the business yet, so it looks like we'll arrive in the Anacortes area late afternoon or early evening on Friday. We'll probably stay at Cap Sante that night and hit the pub in Anacortes. If any of you are also going to be in Anacortes it would be great to meet up with you on Friday evening. If not, we'll see you all on Saturday morning at Fisherman's Bay.

The photo album for this one is in place and ready to fill.

You fine folks have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks for the thoughts Brock! My plate is "fuller" than I ever imagined. Friday night Jessica has a dress rehearsal for a dance performance that will transpire on Saturday night, (you know, we've got to see what all of our money does that goes into those years of dance lessons!). (Additionally all this exposure to the "fine arts" helps keep that barn yard brown stuff off my boots :wink . Then it is work at 0900 Sunday morning.
For what it's worth....rest assured that I will be thinking of you all at Sunny Lopez.

By the way....Happy Cinco de Mayo to all! :smiled

(oops, just looked at me watch and it is already May the 6th....oh well, tis the thought that counts!) :crook

Hi, Brats. Hey, Jeff, Happy birthday.

Joe and Ruth, congratulations. That's a big transition. Now you can do some stuff together that you really want to do.

Just a little info for those of you who like to put in at Cap Sante in downtown Anacortes... There is currently a big brew-ha-ha over the Port's plans to remove the launching facilities at that location... The Port, the City and the public all seem at odds. Good chance that this will GO in the very near future.

Doesn't look good,
Corwin

OK, Lopez 2005 is in the books, and my photos are up - I KNOW I was not the only person with a camera, so get the rest of them posted! Just shows to go you once again, strangers are only friends you haven't met yet! Lane (Sun Fish), Peter and Caryn (C-Dancer), Dan and Jan (Nine Inches), Don and Dee (Knotty-C), John and Amy (C-Crazy), and anybody I missed, welcome aboard! This was SO much fun, and it was so great to meet all the new Brats!

What a blast, met some great new C-Brats and some old Brat friends. As usual, the potluck was a feast with way to many good eats. A tip of the hat to Brock & Fred for instigating this event and to Mr C-D Scott for the nice shirts ( I have a hat and a nice shirt...hummmmm now all I need is some nice C-D shorts :) )

We had nice ride back to the ramp and hit Twin Bridges just after low tide and got loaded up with no problem. I think that the Twin Bridges is our new favorite launch spot. We had the ramp to ourselves and smooth sailing down the freeway.

see you all on the water......jeepers, what a great bunch of folks

Thanks everybody for making Amy and I (John a.k.a. Crazy Frazey) feel so welcome at the Lopez group get together...you folks are incredibly wonderful!!!

Also, thanks again for all the information that you share in these here web pages...very useful in the decision making process and with new ideas!

Tired now...we made it home safely to Tigard, Oregon (Portland area) and now I'm gonna crash. Hope you all had safe journeys and I look forward to talking more on these postings (this is my very first post, how exciting).

By the way we stopped by Blakely and put in our reservation...see you there and until then.....HAPPY BOATING...

Signed,

Crazy Frazey (on the C-Crazy maybe...still need final stamp of approval)

Thanks Fred and Brock! Also Scott for the CD shirts. So wonderful to see the folks we already knew and to meet the others that were able to make it for the first time. Missed seeing Bill & Dana, TyBoo Mike & family, Dave S, Jim & Laurie, Patty, Jon & Cynthia along with some of the others that couldn't make it. Always marvel at the food that just seems to show up, too. First time in the R-Matey that we've done two nights in a row. Not that bad with nice flannel/denim sleeping bags and the heavy weight Mexican blanket. Nice return trip to Bellingham. Like glass most of the way. Just had a really great time. Looking forward to Blakely.

Hello All,

We had a wonderful time at our second C-Brat event, the first with our boat and our first trip to the San Juans. It was so good to put faces with the names we've been reading about for months and to meet all the C-Brats that we didn't know. We just now got home because we toured the islands for several hours and didn't get back to Twin Bridges until 6 p.m. Then a five-hour drive home.

What was so fun about today was that everywhere we went, we saw at least one other C-Brat. Two Lucky Fish and Bess-C at Friday Harbor, Two Lucky Fish again at Cornet Bay, and Susan E at Twin Bridges. We also saw several un-named C-Dorys on our trek around Lopez Island through Deception Pass and up through LaConner to Twin Bridges.

We have pictures, but won't get them up till tomorrow. Thank you, all, for making us feel so welcome.
