Also, thanks for the Raymarine lead. Just to follow up, between the first time I called Mr. Dixon's number and the second, his outgoing voicemail message was revised to say "If it's about Raymarine, call Fran Mitchell at 800-539-5539", so I got the impression he didn't handle this anymore :-)
 
Tim. Sorry to see that the Raymarine tip did not work. Must admit I did not even attempt it before the Lopez/Gulf trip as I was pretty sure that whatever could go wrong, would and I preferred to risk having my old number in the unit just in case.
Thanks for posting the results of your research, guess I will just have to bite the bullet and send it in.
