  12. Batteries are installed below the deck hatches to keep weight low and free up storage space in transom - house bank shown.  Solenoid operated battery switches are remotely controlled from the helm station.  Truss mounted to underside of deck hatch improves seal by  preventing ends of hatch from springing upwards.  The truss is designed to bend the ends of the hatch downward about 1/16" which flattens out when dogged closed.

  13. Single (window) turn catch located at base of shower door opposite the hinge side will hold lower part of door tight against the sealing gasket eliminating "all" leaks.  Several 1/8" drain holes were drilled in the aluminum door frame just above the lower gasket to duct the small amount of water that collects between door and frame back to shower stall.  The catch was slightly modified to permit opening by screw driver from the outside if necessary and for correct spacing.

    Single (window) turn catch located at base of shower door opposite the hinge side will hold lower part of door tight against the sealing gasket eliminating "all" leaks.
