I'm a recent new owner of a 22 Cruiser and don't have a Bimini or camper cover. With a trip in the works to Florida I noticed at Sam's Club a Sport Brella that appeared to be the right size to attach to the boat when at anchor for some shade and privacy. To my delight it worked much better...

Outside view, can further secure with rear bungees.

Shorten the pole and it fits perfectly to close the cockpit.

Side view, note flaps can be down or up. Did not test in rain.

Attach with ball end bungee to hand rail.
