Pat and Linda, The launch site is a public landing, and Lankford can give you a pass for use...it is a very good launch ....well maintained, and C Dory's have been pleased with it...it is about a mile and a quarter from our marina, Lankford Bay, you could almost walk it. I will be "on duty"...

Today was crab ball day. I bought the stuff this morning, fresh from our local seafood store and spent about four hours workin' the magic. Recipe: couple pounds of crabmeat..i use claw and backfin...mix in some bread crumbs,(not a lot), couple of raw eggs, Old Bay seasoning, and some sour...

After several exercises with the system, I am concluding that shortening the amount of chain would probably solve the problem. The pile only forms in the last 15 ft or so of chain, so i wonder if removiing that amount. leaving 35 ft of chain would do it. tom

I went out today and ran out 50 ft of chain and about 75 ft of line...no problem on intake until about the last 15 feet of chain, and then i had to reshuffle the chain pile, then it came in fine...on one attempt a kink was in the chain links... tom

Humbly, I 'd like to put in a word for the lowly 110 Yanmar. For many years i owned a Chesapeake boat with a Ford Lehman 124(?) horsepower, slow..the boat was 40 ft. long...Max speed was about 8 kts. It was a wonderful boat..and going at that speed usually mean a difference of about 40 minutes...
