    Who has a 12" chartplotter...

Update on MFD install: From what I can tell, not all C-Dory dashes are created equal. My '91 cruiser dash has a 'hump' in the middle of it apparently intended to give more clearance round the steering mechanism and any gauges that might be above it. It sounds like the hump was removed in newer...

Keep an eye open for discounts - you get 10% off automatically as a member, but I took advantage of a sale they had going on and got 20% off. Also, they sent me and extra number in case I screwed one up... and I remember some mention about some sort of "oops" protection on any other stickers you...

    Vessel Name Decal Size

I applied my new stickers today... got them from BoatUS... got the "reflective" option. The vinyl is 3m brand and I didn't have any problems at all getting them on; very happy. I'm also happy that their "Navy" color matches the Blue on the boat quite well, and the grey shadow matches the...

    Anchor rode cleat

I've got a good 1.25" between the cleat and the windlass. I guess it makes sense to go around the side of the windlass now that you mention it. Thanks.

    Anchor rode cleat

Would there be any downside to using a camlock type cleat in this location? As you mention, I don't have room for a regular cleat positioned like this, but a cam would fit.

New boat missing Anchor/Windless. Help me buy a replacement?

Nice install - what's the source on that extra switch you added inline for the windlass? I need to add one of those.

New boat missing Anchor/Windless. Help me buy a replacement?

Re: Backing plate... as with anything else, opinions will vary... I believe some people here used nothing more than large "fender" washers, but you'll see that there's a recommendation/assumption in the Lewmar manual that the deck which you attach the windlass to be at least 1" thick and the...
