Yo Ken For Clifton channel use 2 1/2 to 3 oz. cannon ball lead. I like the 2 1/2 oz'ers cause it gets my herring farther away from the boat. The first part of this week I was trolling with a fish flasher and couldn't get a bite. Yesterday I took off the flash and just used a herring...

    Outfitting a 25

Fred No pics, I took the downrigger off, the only time I use it is when I come up and fish Puget Sound. I can explain it in a few seconds when you come down to Cathlamet.

    Outfitting a 25

Fred I mounted the rail-mount right over the "T".... where the vertical rail support is. Here's what you need to know: The Scotty rail-mount comes with a piece of 1x6x6 plastic board for support. This keeps the rail-mount from twisting downward on the rail from the weight of the cannon...

Don't believe all you hear at the barbershop. I went out yesterday, and two days before that. It's been very slow, I've only seen one caught, there wasn't even very many people fishing during the week. The word I'm getting is that the gillnetters are only catching 3-5 per night...

    Outfitting a 25

I mounted a Scotty 1106 on my 25, works great. Get the rail mount. I mounted it just forward of the cockpit seat so I wouldn't have to bend over when bringing the cannon ball on board.

    Swivel for helm seat

Do the new 25's come with a fixed position seat? My 25 came from the factory with a swivel seat. You might want to check with C-Dory on this one.

You're in luck, Jim. Tyboo Mike, Typhoon Tiffany the Sturgeon Queen, B~C Ken and Tim (Lynn Marie) are all well known sturgeon slayers. They will all be putting on a clinic at this gathering. Just anchor up about a short stones throw from any of them and do what they do. :thup

June 18th. Hightide is at 11:38 am. June 25th. Hightide is at 3:55 am. This is a little early in the morning for fishing sturgeon, right? They need to be fished on the outgoing. Seems to me that they closed the sturgeon season just before the July 4th weekend last summer because the...
