Any thoughts on the Craftsman 3000? Found a used one here (new in box) for a good price. The specs seem good and it's more powerful but Craftsman says it only runs for 4.5 hrs at 50%. That's with over a gallon of fuel. I only need it for running a window AC unit so a 2000, with it's lighter...

Enjoyed a nice afternoon out on Curious Traveler today. Getting the bow up definitely drained most of the water out from under the floor. I still plan to rig a pump to make sure I suck it all out but so far the drain seems to be working.

If there is a stringer, it must not divide the area in 2 because hearing the water flow from one side to the other is what tipped me off that there was water in there. We're planning on taking her up to Annapolis for breakfast tomorrow so I'll plow with the bow up high for a bit to see how much...

Cockpit drain

The 1 1/8" hole saw worked great. I drilled the hole 6" off center. Glad I did. When I felt around inside the hole, towards mid-line, I felt some thicker layers of glass like I might have been right at the edge of where glass was building up to where a stringer was laid. Pictures in my album...

So if the drain needs a 1 1/8" hole, start with one size bigger bit, just to cut through the gelcoat, and then drill the hole with the 1 1/8”? Cover the area with masking tape first. If it's not cored, do I need to use epoxy or sealant to protect the inside of the hole?

Thanks for the help. Ran down and checked and she definitely has the Plate Assist in place. Must have fallen down into the motor casing on a previous repair.

I had the mechanic come out to the slip to look at the motor. He's as stumped as I am. Like you guys, he agrees it is some type of stopper but it doesn't seem to belong anywhere on my motor. He looked in all the places he'd expect something like this (choke, throttle, etc) and nothing's missing...

A mechanic serviced my Honda 90 a couple of weeks ago. I put her in the water and ran the motor...she ran great...but when I pulled off the cover I found this part laying in there. I'm waiting to get a call back from the mechanic but in the meantime, does anyone recognize this part?
