    Sprint 600 dying -- rebuild-replace options?

    I want to thank everybody for "weighing" in. So, I guess the 600 suffers from a bit of a design flaw? And, the 700 is an improved unit? Rebuilding might work and might be cheaper but replacement is less time consuming and you get a better unit. Does that about sum things up? Thanks again...

    Sprint 600 dying -- rebuild-replace options?

    My 4-year old Simpson Lawrence 600 is dying. It'll retrieve maybe 30 feet of rode then peter out triggering my low battery alarm. Is there a rebuild option, if this truly is the problem? Is there a bolt on replacement that doesn't require further deck demolition?

    One thing to remember about the Explorers, the V-6 model actually weighs more than the V-8 with its all aluminum block engine. Good for power, bad for braking.

    CD-22 and Ford Explorer

    I've got a 2002 Explorer V-8 with tow package and it's "rated" at 7,900 pounds. My 25' C-Dory is too much of a load for my otherwise trusty Ford so I'm looking for a 3/4 ton Suburban with Quadrasteer and a high rear end. I figure the C-Dory and trailer weigh better than 3 tons and the Explorer...
