  16. Port midship cleat backing plate.
NOTE: All Stainless Steel Backing Plates for Cleats and Windless are 3/32" thick, plus SS Fender Washers. All bolt holes have been drilled out large enough to get a "Dremel" router bit in and cut back expanded foam Core between top and bottom fiberglass. Then fillback in with thickened apoxy and later re-drilled again to fit bolt size. This proceedure reduces the possibilityy of over tightening the cleat fastening bolts and crushing the expanded strafoam core.

All bolt holes have been drilled out large enough to get a "Dremel" router bit in and cut back expanded foam Core between top and bottom fiberglass. Then fillback in with thickened apoxy and later re-drilled again to fit bolt size. This proceedure reduces the possibilityy of over tightening the cleat fastening bolts and crushing the expanded strafoam core.
