So the middle adjustable window doesn’t stay open because of the tightening fitting. Can that be replaced and if so where would I find it. It’s for 2006 22 cruiser.

The strut for the center window is a Sea Dog part. Look in their catalog. They used to sell a repair kit, but I haven’t seen it in the catalog for awhile.

I've purchased windows and window parts from the C-Dory window supplier, Advantec Marine in Chilliwack, B.C., where Diamond Sea Glaze windows are manufactured. The best contact there is Buffy Light, Office: 1-604-607-0091 EXT 3917, Cell: 1 -604-340-9639, Email:Blight@advantecmarine.com.

I just bought a 22 cruiser and I cannot determine what this connection is for. Is it a Scotty fitting of some sort that something fits in it and if so, what.? Can you send a picture if not just refer me to a website
Thanks

The center window issue is an almost universal C-Dory problem if you open and close that window a lot over time. After "fixing" it several times by disassemblng, banging the brass washer and reassembling it, I decided it is badly engineered. Buying new parts isn't likely a longterm solution. In 2004 "Fairbro" mentioned drilling holes for pins. This is a reasonable solution, but I didn't want to drill holes in it. I find that propping the window with a stick works great. I have three stick lengths for different angles of open. BTW; much of the earlier discussion on this can't be accessed any more.

In 2003, on the way home from our first SE Alaska trip, I had a center window installed by the then C-Dory factory at Kent, Washington. It worked well for about 15 years, then no matter how tightened, it would drop down after a few bumps of the boat on the water. I thought like you, parts would have to be replaced, but first, thought I would try corrosionX, a penetrating lubricant. To my surprise, that solved the issue & I have had no problems since with the window dropping after putting it in the desired open position. That window & the original hardware have now been in the boat 24 seasons & functions just the same, as when new. I might add it’s been used a lot during those years & some here might even remember the incident of it being open, while we were exiting the tidal rapids of Fords Terror in 2004 & the video & write up of that incident.

Others might not have the same results, but perhaps worth trying, as it sure solved the issue for me.

Those are mounts for Scotty downriggers. If you don’t do that kind of fishing, they are useless. My boat came with them too.

These are for rod holders and other Scotty attachments. IIRC, you can mount a BBQ with them, too (?).
