Mine also folds to the side. thataway, I can't say for sure about the forward folding mast , ours has a kick stand , same stuff as the railings . cut short and it folds up to meet the mast . It is like the leg that holds the drivers seat when not in the folded position. If you look closely at...

I think we have the older set up, ours angles to the side . The mount in the picture may be a new design , it looks like it would go lower than our side set up . I havent seen that mast mount untill now . Which I think is an improvement , and may work best ,just my opinion based on the fact...

YES , remove one guide wire pull the pin and it lays over on a kick stand that flips up from the roof , be sure to put a bungee on it as it will bounce alot going down the road. I always fear my radar will get messed up going down the road on such a angle but it seems to be fine every time, just...

Ranger Tug 21ec - My Observation!

I had not taken offense to any posts about my tug we know it well and are very pleased with our toy boat, and enjoy chatting good or bad about the tugs. As a matter of fact for us it had surpassed what we thought it would be, we love the tug. We do not want to offend anyone and are going to...

evilskier, I am not sure what antenna your thinking about for your sirius. Are you just talking about the one for the radio? I have one of them, the antenna is very small on mine just a little bigger than a half dollar lets say. When we take the tug out I usually just remove the car kit from...

Ranger Tug 21ec - My Observation!

drjohn71a, Whew....feel better now? We do own a ranger tug as well as another diesel powered boat with over 2000 hrs on it mostly chugging along, runs great but that doesn't prove anything either. My reply was not to start a fued and I am having a hard time trying to actually understand your...

Agreed and proven Westfield11, ITSY , tried to make that argument before with facts to back it up. I miss his posts , most were real world and not book theory. I am glad we found this site however good it may be and the just be nice motto , it seems the majority of posters have thier prejudiced...

Ranger Tug 21ec - My Observation!

Shaun and others, Thank you for the details about the big water, we have yet dared to venture into the atlantic . Next year we are thinking about taking the tug to a friends house in belmar N J by water and hearing from the folks who head off shore in the tugs is helping to shed the fear of...

Ranger Tug 21ec - My Observation!

Shaun, If you were broaching ,more speed would help in following seas, you could stay ahead of the waves trying to spin you around. Or more power to stay on the wave backs better . I have not been in anything as big as 6 foot seas , can you describe how she handled in that type of big water...

Thanks for posting a picture , that is the same set up we have and all the 21ec models. It is hard to tell from the picture but the mount is too small to fit even the smallest domes without some type of extension base to mount on.

Ranger Tug 21ec - My Observation!

That Acadia 21 can top out at 17 knots with a 75 horse , thats impressive. I would sell my ranger in a heart beat and buy a new one if they offered engine upgrades. still luv ny 21 even though she can't get out of her own way , thats my biggest drawback about the boat. Last year we had to...
