World War II Army Patch. Not exactly related to boating, but it represents an Island that in order to travel there used to be only via water. My great uncle served there from 1943 through 1945. It's Ascension Island. The stars represent the constellation Southern Cross. The Three Sisters mountains on the island are represented.
