We made our way back to the dock for steak on the grill and sundowners. A good time was had by all. We also met some sail boaters that arrived late in the evening. We had a good time chatting about the river and plans for the coming days.
The park was decorated for Fall.
Someone had the brilliant idea to take the tour off road on a power line, but we eventually found our way around the park.
We decided to burn off a little energy with a walking tour of Kenlake State Resort Park.
Similar to the last pic, but it gives you a good idea how protected and calm the marina is.
Twenty river miles later, we pulled in to Kenlake Marina for the night. Beautiful full service transient docks for $0.65 per foot.

We drove to KY Dam Marina on Thursday 10/16/08, the first day of fall break. There were clouds and light rain for much of the drive....perfect C-Dory weather. Our heater worked fine so we started up river. The wildlife started immediately with this bird just outside the marina.
