You have to be very careful. There are old stumps and trees that come to the surface or just under the surface. Water is clear.
The NE side of the lake has a road that goes up to Staircase.
The water had that "snow melt" sort of look.

We launched at Skokomish Park, run by the Skokomish Nation. $10. This is in the afternoon when we returned. Nobody was there in the morning. No dock at this launch.
