This is a stainless steel bracket I had made for the Garhauer Lifting Davit. I want to mount the davit in the motorwell of my 22' Cruiser so the davit is directly over the kicker motor. Problem is gas tank is directly under where I need to mount the foot. This bracket is designed to mount on the starboard wall of the motor well area, to hold the foot.

This is what the mount will look like with the foot ball attached. The plate will mount to the starboard side of the motor well, as low as possible. I have a stainless backer plate for the bracket, access in the starboard lazarette. Bracket probably overbuilt with 1/4" stainless, gussets welded for extra strength. Total cost for the bracket - $20 (not including the Garhauer mounts)

Close up of RAM mount, stainless U bolt, short handle, and ball with threaded shaft to fit threaded insert on bottom of Optronix handheld spotlight (3/8 x 16 thread). RAM also offers the ball with a 1/4 x 20 camera tripod thread) Antenna is wrapped a few wrappings with clear Rescue Tape.
A Ram ball mount to hold my Optronics 1 million candlepower 12v spotlight. It is mounted with a stainless U bolt and RAM mount to the antenna. I can reach out the starboard side window and direct the beam.
Hand holds for the swim step. Three Harbor Freight aluminum caribeaners (99 cents each)with soft grip wrapped in yellow Rescue Tape for a watertight seal. A fourth caribeaner attaches the rope to the ladder. I will put a 6" float on the end of the line in the water for visual marking. Total cost less than $10.
