The last major job was to remove the two cranes from the top of the towers. This was done with a huge mobil crane that took the tower cranes down in 8 separate pieces.
This picture is from the local paper and shows one of two sections that will slip between the two towers. The towers inside width is 1 1/4 inches wider than the bridge deck!
Walk back to car.
The lift time was about 7 minutes. The first section to be lifted took over 2 hours!
