While eating dinner I heard something in the tules. He did not seem to want his picture taken. He turned and ran as soon as I opened the window.

Doing the Tule tie. the bow is in 2ft of water and the stern in 8ft. The wind passes over the top.
Looking back at Frank's Tract from Washington Cut. The foreground shows it is calm on the windward side of the Cut.
Washington Cut is a favorite place to overnight and get out of the wind.
