The anchorage outside Landing Cove: 50 feet of depth with a lot of surge. At the cliff depth is about 35 feet. If there is any weather at all it is not a safe anchorage.
The Anacapa Reserve has some of the best kelp forest diving in the world.
Landing Cove -- East Anacapa Island. Once anchored you row to the landing, climb the ladder, and pull your dinghy up behind you. Now, 150+ steps to get on top of the Island 200 feet above!
