Spent a couple of nights at our local pond (Pondagonia, as we so loving call it). Got 2 boat-in camp sites and shuttled about 20 people, and their gear, to the sites for 4th of July weekend. It was HOT and buggy but we all survived.

When conditions allow, I've found this to be the most economical "fast cruise". Slower, around 18 mph, gets me around 4 mpg. This was the case on our Powell trip too.

We almost hit the 100 hour mark (98 hours) on our engine on this trip too. 38 hours on it when we bought it almost a year ago.

Fire restrictions were in place and no campfires were allowed. We had sparkles though. Happy 4th America!!!
