Not much traffic so this bridge is mostly manual. The tender had to walk to both ends and close the gates. Then walk to the shed in the center and operate the motor to open.

The docks are not the best but a nice family park. You can stay the night and use the showers. Another place to stay out of the wind.
Coming into the dock at Brannon island State Park. Only a few miles from Rio Vista.
He only opens it enough for your boat to slip around the end at an angle. I think I gave him his exercise for the day - mostly bass boats through here.

While eating dinner I heard something in the tules. He did not seem to want his picture taken. He turned and ran as soon as I opened the window.
