Snail Shell Harbor Fayette MI. One of the best destinations on the Great Lakes. Nice park, nice history, nice walking, great views, NO shopping. Jointly run by DNR and Historical Commission, good dockage, no electric or services. Water and pit toilets 50 to 110 yards away.

State Park at Rock Island, WI. This park is and island reached by ferry, I guess you can moor overnight although not well protected. Mainly a backpacker's destination, not real boat friendly.
