notice stock support 3/8 plate next to it. First bolted plate in place with 1/4 x 20 stainless bolts and lock nuts. Then used existing holes to drill the 3/8 holes for mounting to trailer's frame. Longer bolts were required 1 3/4 worked with nylon lock nuts
Float On trailer fender supports this is the area where we have cracking occur. To stiffin up the arrangement we added a piece 0f 3/8 x 3 1/2 x 13 3/4 long piece of aluminum plate.
black box has battery for breakaway should the truck and trailer become separtated. This controller works well with my 2009 Chevy built in digital brake controller set the gain to 4 and it seems to be about right for the braking force.Swap done by our trailer's daddy Float On Trailers in Vero Beach Florida On to Key West
