A gaggle of gadwalls join me for breakfast.
The sand slides get washed down and make this nice trail.
The canyon had huge sand slides on the south side (picture left), blown over from the top of the mesa. That's what makes the nice path all the way to the lake.

A little breeze makes a "snake-skin" reflection on an overhang. I should have made a video here.

About a mile up the canyon, there are unrestored ruins high up on the canyon walls.
