Lot's of fixed docks with pilings, some make up a fender board made out of 5'or 6' PVC pipe with a line out of both ends so the PVC pipe hangs outside of the bumpers and is against the pilings. I use big bumpers with a line running thru it and knots on either side of the bumper to prevent it from sliding on the line. I tie the line off at both ends to the roof's grab rail and keep the bumper horizontal centered on the piling

Anchored and rafted up the Ranger tug has a 25 pound Rockna so we just let him do all the heavy lifting with his windless, we are probably in about 6 to seven feet of water here at low tide. Short dink ride to town, very quiet here, except for the tree frogs at night.

Our take off point Duffy's Creek Marina,on the Sassafras river 8 miles off the Cheaspeake Bay Fredricktown, Md. Excellent deep water launch ramp,fee 12 dollars, rig parking 6.00 dollars per day, trancient slip 1.75 per foot. all amenities including pool launch, showers fuel dock with gas and diesel. If you look carefully you can see a 22 C-Dory Cruiser Salt-C just to the rear and left of the launch ramp area.
