In the early afternoon I took the dinghy over to neighboring Skagit Island, where I am beached here.
Eventually the eagles took off after being pestered by a couple of crows.
There were a couple of bald eagles in the trees, directly behind my boat, no more than 100' away.

By the time I had the dinghy inflated to go ashore to pay the buoy fee, the wind at Hope Island had picked up...glad I snagged the last buoy around 11AM, the currents are swift through this area, although many yachts anchor here as well without any apparent issues.
It was flat calm all the way from Edmonds to Hope Island. I cruised at around 4200 RPM, took almost 2.5 hours.
