Kitty Knight House, spared by the British Rear Admiral Cockburn so the story goes the local militia fired on the British and in retaliation they started burning down the town, sharp tongued and defiant she impressed Cockburn and her house was spared. The rest of the town was burned to the ground. Today it's a Restaurant / Inn
