Another glorious morning outside with no wind and an invisible swell. The swell was so far apart that it only became apparent when near a shoal (suddenly a big splash) or when on plane (upppp and dowwwn).
In the evening, I would head in to the back waters of Clayoquot for a quiet anchorage.
Returning to Tofino, a memorial had been set up for the three missing fishermen, although many people were still searching.
To paraphrase the famous line from the movie Jaws, "we're going to need a bigger pot."
Returning back towards Tofino outside of Flores Island. I fly fished for black rock fish until they had broken all my tippets and made off with all my flies. Good fun.
